Expands In-House Digital Offerings
(Augusta, ME) – Battleground Strategies, a boutique Washington, D.C.-based political and public affairs firm, today announced the addition of respected Maine-based political consultant Joe Turcotte as Vice President. Turcotte will lead the expansion of Battleground’s in-house digital offerings in addition to helping lead the firm’s political and public affairs client campaigns.
“Joe is one of the country’s rising Republican stars, and we are excited to have him join Battleground Strategies to help us grow our digital practice and solidify our footprint in the northeast and beyond,” said Battleground partner Elissa Voccola.
Most recently, Turcotte served as Governor Paul LePage’s 2022 campaign manager. Under Joe’s leadership, the campaign was one of the most competitive in the country and raised a record amount of money for a Republican gubernatorial candidate thanks to his creative approach to online fundraising.
Prior to running Governor LePage’s campaign, Turcotte served as the Maine State Director for the Republican National Committee where he led the GOP’s campaign to secure victory for U.S. Senator Susan Collins and a key electoral vote from Maine’s 2nd Congressional District in the race for president.
Turcotte began his career at the Maine Republican Party where he became a well-regarded state party strategist, developing the party’s online fundraising, political, and creative design infrastructure.
